Mission Report

 Greetings from Uganda

  Servants of Jesus sent 3 representatives to Uganda and South Africa. We were privileged
  to go and met some wonderful people. Their generosity towards us was humbling. And
  their dedication to helping others poorer than themselves was inspiring. We visited people 
  in prison, in orphanages, in churches and even in a tent! We shared the Good News of
  Jesus Christ to people and prayed with them. We continue to communicate with people in
  Uganda and South Africa. We are hoping to help some representatives from Uganda to visit
  us in Sydney for our Share the Holy Spirit Conference.

 Sabah, Malaysia        

  A large group of us went to Sabah, Malaysia last January. Our group was mainly youth
  (14 - 18yrs) from Servants of Jesus Community. We were hosted by Light of Jesus Christ
  Community led by Joseph Chee. The youth in Malaysia and our youth got on very well and
  encouraged each other . They especially enjoyed travelling to remote areas of Malaysia.
  We hope to be able to return later this year or next year. We continue to communicate with
  people we have met during our time there. This year we have also sent a small group of 
  people to Xghajra, Malta. They are living there to support and pray for people in the area.

 Papua New Guinea

  Our youth mission team (U-Turn) will go to PNG and Malaysia later this year. Their year
  with U-Turn includes a mission trip overseas. They rely on donations to do this.

  SOJ continues to support a Catholic worker in PNG and to visit them.
