Who We Are

Australian Christian Community is about normal people living a Christian lifestyle in the Australian Culture.

THE SERVANTS OF JESUS COMMUNITY

Since 1981, individuals and families have come together to form a Christian Community, called "The Servants of Jesus". Together we live a supportive lifestyle and uphold Christian values such as worship, family life, prayer, sharing and service. Our 500 members attend their respective Christian churches throughout Sydney (eg. Catholic, Anglican, Church of Christ, Pentecostal…) We meet together as a group to gain the benefits of community life (Acts 2:42-47), the renewing power of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 2:9-13) and to demonstrate Christian unity (John 17:20-25).

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE DO TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY?

SMALL GROUPS: Weekly small groups, for all ages, undertaking spiritual discipleship, sharing the joys and trials of life, mutual support in everyday living, ministering to one another and celebrating events together.

WORSHIP: Charismatic worship gatherings are held every Sunday at 10.55am at "The Servants Centre"   15 Park Rd Seven Hills. Children and youth ministry is included.

CHURCH SERVICES: Weekly church services are held at the Servants Centre. A Catholic Mass run by the Bread of Life Fellowship is held at 9.15am and also a Pentecostal communion service with Grace Community Church at 9.45 am each week.

CLUSTER LIFESTYLE: Many, but not all, our community members have bought and rented homes in the same neighbourhoods. Supportive, deeper relationships tend to develop in such an environment.  We have clusters in various locations around Sydney.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: Our children are seen as very important in the life of the community. We have a Christian scouting movement called "Royal Rangers". Each week the children have an opportunity to grow in the knowledge and love of God.

FIREPOWER: Is our youth group.  It is held twice a month for teenagers to learn more about our Christian walk and deepen their relationship with God.  The evenings are fun filled with activities, drama, testimonies, teachings and fellowship.

STUDY AND OVERSEAS MISSION: opportunities for cross-cultural exposure, overseas travel and study, exist through the community's Outreach, accredited Discipleship Training Schools.

U-TURN YOUTH MISSION TEAM: Are a group of young people who devote 12 months working for the Lord, spreading the message of Jesus in schools and churches.

SHARE THE HOLY SPIRIT NATIONAL CONFERENCE: an annual conference featuring Australian and overseas speakers that help equip and renew its participants. As with our whole lifestyle, these conferences also help to build bridges of unity and understanding between the mainline churches.

CELEBRATION: We are big on celebrating events in people's lives, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
